Section 8 Voucher Program

Section 8 Voucher Program

The Section 8 Voucher Program is a federally funded program designed to create affordable housing opportunities for low income-families in the private market. Families are given the chance to search for a suitable unit and receive Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) for that unit. Participating families will usually pay no more than 30% of their monthly income towards their rent and utilities while the Section 8 Voucher Program subsidizes the remaining balance of the rent. For more information, please contact: Zena Sutton, Director of Section 8 at Zsutton@edisonha.org.
